CentreLearn LogoSince 2004 EPS has developed nearly 200 hours of online education lessons for CentreLearn. Continuing education lessons that meet CECBEMS guidelines have been developed for all organization users. EPS has also developed custom content by converting CentreLearn organization clients existing content for online delivery. Those custom lessons have met the unique training requirements of large municipal fire departments, regional training departments, and national industry associations.

Keith Wesley, MD, EMS Medical Director – Online Medical Director Training

Keith Wesley, MDEPS converted a classroom training program provided by Dr. Wesley for online delivery. The program is a first of its kind interactive and multimedia training product for EMS Medical Directors.

“Greg is a well organized leader in E-learning and the one I turn to with any idea of wide distribution. Greg has an understanding of people and the way they learn.

NAEMT Emergency Pediatric Care – Hybrid Training Course

EPC LogoIn 2007 EPC converted a series of classroom lectures into twelve modules for online delivery. EMT and Paramedic students can now complete 7 hours of online training before a single day of classroom training focused on hands-on skills instruction and practice. Tommy Loyacono, MPA, NREMT-P chair of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) sent EPS a testimonial letter commending our work the Emergency Pediatric Care course.

“On behalf of the NAEMT and its Emergency Pediatric Care Committee, I would like to thank you for the outstanding you produced on the new EPC course … We gave you considerable freedom to exercise your judgment as a designer, and we were not disappointed.”
Tommy Loyacono, MPA, NREMT-P

“We have received positive feedback from participants regarding the EPC online materials. For 2009, we feel that the hybrid course will gain popularity with more training sites.” Melissa Sally-Mueller, RN, BSN, EMT-P, CFRN, MHA

EMS Magazine – Feature Articles and Virtual Training Director Column

Greg Friese is a regular contributor to EMS Magazine and a member of the magazine’s editorial advisory board. Since 2004 he has contributed numerous feature articles and in 2009 started the Virtual Training Director column.

“I am continually impressed by the quality of the educational material Greg produces, by his comprehensive knowledge of the subjects he writes about, and by his overall commitment to delivering an excellent product on time, every time. I would highly recommend Greg as a freelance author, educator and developer of high-end educational concepts.” Nancy Perry, EMS Magazine Editor

NENA – Custom Elearning Program Design

EPS worked with SMEs from the National Emergency Number Association to design and develop a six part NENA Logotraining program for telecommunicators about responding to calls for missing, abducted, and abandoned persons. The lessons are the first standardized and international program for 911 call centers. In a missing persons case, especially for missing children, the essential goal is to follow a protocol template to collect information from callers and rapidly dispatch resources. This training gives PSAP call takers the knowledge and template to meet that goal. The training program is being distributed to NENA members as well as anyone that is interested in the topic through the CentreLearn Learning Management System.

“Greg did the instructional and graphic design work on a new course for emergency dispatchers on how to handle missing person calls . The course was developed with the National Emergency Number Association and will be delivered online through NENA’s CentreLearn powered learning management system. Greg’s skill in instructional and graphic design is top notch. I highly recommend him for any project of this nature.”
Jim Eastham, CEO, CentreLearn Solutions, LLC

HSI, Inc. – Slide and Interaction Design for Online Firefighter CE

24-7 EMS LogoThroughout 2008 EPS provided PowerPoint slide production services and creation of interactive content using Articulate Engage for eighteen firefighter continuing education lessons for 24-7EMS/JSL Communications (now HSI, Inc.). For each CE lesson formatted slides, suggested and laid out engage interactions, and responded to editor change requests. The firefighter CE lessons are distributed to CentreLearn organization users. Greg Friese, EPS president, is currently creating key points and scenario review questions for HSI, Inc. online continuing education lessons.

“I have had the opportunity to work with Greg on a series of education programs in firefighting. Greg demonstrated an effective and creative talent in constructing the on-line content for the programs. Greg was very instrumental in the production of the programs. I would strongly recommend Greg for other projects involving web-based programs along with the development of other education programs.”
Jeffrey Lindsey, Education Coordinator, 24-7 EMS

“It has been my privilege to work with Greg on a number of projects for 24-7 EMS. His level of expertise and subject knowledge far exceeded expectations. His articles were high-caliber and necessitated very little editing. I look forward to collaborating with him again on future projects.”

“I was impressed. The content was solid – I learned some things I did not know. You clarified expectations up front and followed through. The tips were valid. Greg you came across as confident, knowledgeable, authentic. The visuals were highly rich – simple (meaning highly focused on the subject) and effective! I would highly recommend EMS Boot Camp – it was clear you were competent and authentic! Well done with consistent reminders! Essential in today’s world. I was impressed – and 99% of the time I am not! We need more like you in EMS! Well done.”

HadniRecords/Blanchard Enterprises

I first met Ann Blanchard through Twitter and asked for a sample of the product to review. Ann has developed an easy to use written record for patients to document important medical information. As a paramedic it is much easier when patients have their list of medications, allergies, and illness history well organized, allowing me to focus on other aspects of their assessment. Ann has developed a high quality product that I have reviewed on our products video page. After posting the videos Ann wrote:

“When I saw the two HandiRecords videos Greg did I was delighted. His EMS experience is reflected in his story about a geriatric patient he treated and her need for a product like HandiRecords. He did a great job of including the product name and my website. ”
Ann Blanchard, President

Lifetabs

Lifetabsis an elegantly simple product to hold auto-locking doors open and to help other emergency responders locate earlier arriving rescuers. EPS created a product review video of Lifetabs for Jeff Stewart, founder and president of Lifetabs. View the video on the EPS Product Videos page.

“Greg is very knowledgeable in the Emergency Medical Field. I strongly recommend him for all your EMS training, consulting and marketing needs.”
Jeff Stewart, Founder/President Lifetabs

National Association of EMS Educators Symposium

Greg Friese and Kyle Bates were able to help me take the concept of case based learning to the next level by introducing the concept of visual case studies using simple, accessible equipment and techniques. With their combined expertise and experience in the field of training, EMS provision, graphic design and use of media, the facilitators were uniquely qualified to provide invaluable insights into the topics. The day was filled with hands on opportunities that really put the ideas to work and ignited the creative spark in the attendees. I walked away with the confidence and skill to create compelling, professional looking case studies, a skill that I intend to build on by practice.
Christopher Andersson, Facilitator/Coordinator Central East Prehospital Care Program

American Red Cross – King and Kitsap Counties, Washington, USA

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for contributing to the King County Disaster Education publication: 3 Days 3 Ways: Be Ready for Disasters and Emergencies. You have a talent for taking complicated ideas and presenting them in a way that is both enjoyable and understandable for the general public. I applaud the work you do creating both educational resources and a feeling of community in the Emergency Response world. I have personally felt that I have been able to do my job better because of the time and effort you put into helping all of us. Thank you for your great work, keep doing it!”
