Webinar Best Practices

I am getting lots of questions from service and product vendors, education organizations, and membership associations about planning and delivering webinars in 2010. Questions include which platform to us, how often to deliver, how long the session should last, and how to include interaction.

Like any elearning project content is king. An audience will tolerate lots of other technical and design problems if the content is good and the speaker is credible. Start your webinar project with a focus on the goals and objectives for the content you want to deliver. Then pick the platform, time length, and interactions best suited for the goals and objectives.

EPS411 reader Darlene Christopher posted this slideshare presentation: 10 Best Practices for Web Conferences. Tip 4 is really good. For every webinar I am involved with one person acts as the host and another person is the presenter. The host can moderate questions and help attendees with technical questions.
