Finding and receiving permission to use images can be one of the most difficult and time consuming tasks when building PowerPoint Presentations and Online CE lessons. Fair Use restrictions were a main point of discussion during a recent episode of the EMSEduCast: PowerPoint Best Practices for EMS Educators.

I have found the best path is to have my own collection of stock photos. I am frequently staging patient assessment and treatment scenarios to capture photos for conference presentations and online continuing education lessons. On a few occasions I have turned to free stock image sources for photos.

This article lists 12 sources for online images. Before using any image from another source make sure to read and understand the licensing agreement.
