Last month RG Medical Diagnostics asked me to evaluate their Mini-Rescue warming blanket, a portable active warming system. As an avid outdoors enthusiast, Wisconsin resident, and lead instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates I have a keen interest in environmental emergencies, like hypothermia. The Mini-Rescue warming blanket is a unique product for warming patients or maintaining patient’s core temperature. This was also an opportunity to use online education and social media to discuss the product and its application. I used twitter to talk about the Mini-Rescue with other paramedics and posted these videos on YouTube.
