Twitter is making me a better writer
Twitter, a microblogging tool, allows entries of 140 characters to answer the question, “what are you doing?”
Instead of answering what are you doing lots of twitter users post links to articles, photos, blog posts, music, and other sites that might be of interest to their followers. Twitter is also a place to make introductions, share successes, and ask questions.
EPS online education lessons are created in PowerPoint. When I write and edit scripts my goal is that each slide last five to thirty seconds – essentially one thought or point per slide. Authors need to efficiently use words to meet this goal.
By frequently posting to Twitter and being constrained to the 140 character limit I am becoming a more frugal writer. (at least I think I am!) I am also learning a lot by reading the tweets of the people I follow about efficient writing.
