This is turning out to be a deadly winter for skiers, boarders, snowmobilers and others working and recreating in the mountains of North America.

Avalanche.org reports 26 fatalities as of January 16, 2009. Even if you don’t live, work, or recreate in avalanche country you will learn interesting facts about avalanches and victim assessment and treatment in our continuing education lesson on the topic.
