Evaluation Answer Analysis
EPS411.com is utilizing a new administrative feature from CentreLearn to evaluate how learners have answered each of the end of lesson question. Following a simple process to select the report type, lesson number, and group of learners the LMS quickly outputs a report of how students answered each question in aggregate. The report shows the percentage of students that selected each answer as well as the correct answer. We are using the Evaluation Answer Analysis for several purposes:
First, to ensure that students are answering questions how we intend for them to answer based on the knowledge they should have as an EMT and the information presented in the lesson
Second, it is also an opportunity to verify that we have presented the quiz question correctly. When I looked at question 2 (see below image) about the location of neurovascular bundles in the foot and saw the wide distribution of answers it alerted me to check that we were scoring against the right answer - we were not - and that the information is clearly presented in the lesson - it was. I was able to quickly fix the question in the quiz bank associated with the lesson.
I don’t expect all students to get every question correct, but when less than 80% of students select a wrong answer I want to try to understand why because it could be several factors - there knowledge, the quality of the question or answer, how the information was presented, or many other variables.
