Service Animals

Service animals are trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities. They are protected by ADA law and allowed in public places, including ambulances and emergency departments. In this RapidCE lesson learn, from service dog owner Lori Buffington, about service animal functions, and assessment, treatment, and transport principles for patients with service animals.

“Excellant class ! I watched the lecture twice because it was so good. I love dogs and have an interest in maybe one day helping with the training of service dogs so this was very informative to me. Thank you so much !” EMT user comment
