In this week’s edition of MMWR Weekly the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports on at risk behaviors of high school students. Young adults are prone to risk taking behaviors like driving fast, drinking too much, and smoking cigarettes. But have you ever considered secondary students at risk for contracting HIV? Having unprotected sex or using intravenous drugs are risk taking behaviors, not only for adults but also for high school kids. Having unprotected sex or using IV drugs put young adults at additional risk for contracting HIV.
